I don't often have words.
I mostly have thoughts.
At night when I lay my head down, that's when all the thoughts come.
I don't pray them out loud.
I don't think I ever have.
But He hears them.
I say little mini prayers through out the day as well.
When I see one of my girls talk about her rough day, or a sadness that is overcoming her, or a memory that is hurting her...
Or even when another girlfriend rejoices for a good night's sleep because the baby slept through the night, or because she paid it forward at the Starbucks drive-through, or she is just happy because another day she has breath...
I say a little mental prayer.
Father, please hold her close to your heart today.
Father, please give her a feeling of peace as she remembers the baby You kept.
Father, please give her positive thoughts.
Father, please help her get over today's anxiety.
Father, bless her today.
Father, have her feel You today.
Father, thank you for her.
Because some days we don't have the words.
Somedays we only have our writing...our thoughts...our tears...our laughter...our quiet thanks.
And that's what so miraculous and wonderful about it all
He's cool with that.
So don't worry about being eloquent or having those big mighty words to say out loud when you want to say something.
You don't need to be perfect for Him.
He already knows you are.
He made you.
He doesn't make mistakes.
Hope your day is as wonderful as you are.
If you need a special mini-prayer or just a little virtual hug, shout it out to me.
I've got your back, lovey.
He does, too.
