A Blog Post, Wow. {High Five for Friday}

Hey Loveys,

I have no idea where the week has gone.  It seems like I haven't been in this space for so long.  The last time I posted was on Wednesday and I just haven't had time to write at all.  Also, truth be told, I had nothing to say.  Nothing in this brain of mine that I thought would be worthy enough to talk about.

Yes, I have a lot to say, but inside of me, in that deep down space, I don't want to write about that stuff.  {Okay, I really need to get off my negative tip and get back to my coffee-induced happiness.}  So, I thought today to get myself back into writing again, I'd join Lauren Elizabeth for her weekly link-up.  So, here goes:

When I went to Elevate last month, two new bloggy friends gave me a journal.  These bloggers who are also real life sisters (!), Quest For a Husband and Being Jane, said they had been shopping and saw the journal and thought of me.  That sentiment made me feel so loved.  I have been meaning to write in it since it was received, but life got in the way.  It keeps getting in the way, really.  I have managed to print out an inspirational pin I found, but that's it.  After long, busy days at work, when I finally get home, there are just so many other things to do.  But I really need to get thoughts down and I'm hoping to get to that this weekend.  No plans in sight (!) so maybe I'll set some time to envelope myself into words on a page.

This week I posted this photo on instagram.  It was after a long day at work, with my hair up all day, and when I got home, put my pajamas on...I let my hair down and this happened.  Good hair.  What is up with that?!  I can never get it to look the way I want to when I put the work in, but of course my hair cooperates when I'm about to settle in for the night.  Irony is funny, huh?

Yesterday morning, my hubby informed me that he was treating me to coffee.  It's the little things that make me happy and he knows it.  That he knows that a Starbucks purchase makes my morning better is an absolute plus.  He knows my heart.  Not because of the coffee, but because he knows what makes me tick or "untick," I guess.  He gets that I've been a whirlwind of emotions lately, that I have been feeling so emotionally overwhelmed, that I just need special love and he gives it freely.  It's a special bond we've always had, even when we were just two high school sophomores that were just friends.  He can read me like a book.  Marry your best friend, loveys.  It makes life so much better.

I have been overloaded with comments this week.  Oh I would be thrilled, but it isn't from humans.  It's those damn Anonymous Robots, the ones that leave stupid comments totally unrelated to the post and give you fake pageviews.  I hate them!  So last night, I reached out to our instagram family for help on how to get rid of these jerks.  Got some answers, thank goodness!  This morning, I got on this computer and have set comments to Registered Users.  I hope this helps.  Pray that this helps!

Today.  Today has started out as pretty good.  It's Friday.  It's pretty much the weekend.  I am not overloaded with work appointments today (hope I didn't just jinx myself) and I got treated to Starbucks yet again by the hubby.  My hair actually did what it was supposed to.  I'm actually taking some time to write a blog post and hoping to meet some bloggers by linking up.  It's a good morning.

Here's to hoping it stretches out to the rest of the day.  That 5 o'clock gets here fast and I finish everything on my work plate without a worry on this no-plans-we're-free weekend.

Happy Friday, Loveys!  If you're new here, welcome.  If you are one of my oldie-but-goodies, thanks for coming back.  Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. How sweet with the journal! I've been writing more and more and it's definitely inspired me. Sometimes a good ole pen and paper is needed! Yay for your blogging! #hottie

  2. Love your blogging. Wish we connected more! I, too, love journaling, but don't take time to do it like I want/should. July will begin a new month and my birthday, so perhaps that is the time....
