R&R is coming!

Can I crawl back into bed, please? Can I pretend it's Saturday morning all over again?

I'm sleepy.  It's cold outside and it would be so nice to be home right now.  I would love to spend the day in bed or on the sofa with a big, fluffy blanket.  Reading, watching a good movie, having some hot chocolate, and cuddling myself in and out of sleep.

It's my last full week of work until Christmas break.  It's the week of last minute requests, the kids' Christmas program, student orientation for the new university I'll be attending next semester, buying those gifts I just remembered I didn't get this weekend...it's the last week of real responsibilities to worry about.

This is my favorite time of year.  The Christmas decorations are up in the living room and the twinkle of lights makes everything cozy.  I'm free and clear of school, work, and obligations in a week's time.  I can't wait.

I can't wait to take some time off and do all the relaxing plans I have in mind.  Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will come and go very quickly as it always does, but then I have almost ten days to just be spontaneous...or not.  We'll probably take a few road trips here and there - watch some movies at the theater - take in a few naps - just relaxation to the fullest.

It's going to be wonderful.  It's going to be just what the doctor ordered.  Just one more full week to go and two work days after that.  Yes!

What are you looking forward to?  What will you be doing in the next couple of weeks that's getting you excited?  Oh, and I would love some good book recommendations if you have any.  Remember, I've got a date with a big, fluffy blanket, so a book is needed.

Have a wonderful Monday, lovey.  Make it just what you want it to be.

  1. I hope you enjoy the holidays! :)

I'm not sure what genres you enjoy reading...I'm currently reading Deck the Halls by Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark. It's a Christmas anthology that has Deck the Halls, The Christmas Thief, and Dashing Through the Snow. I also recommend Moonlight Becomes You by Mary Higgins Clark, especially if you have never read her work. It's the first book I read by her and it got me hooked on her writing. If you like a good mystery---you should definitely check it out! :)

  2. No book recommendations as I'm so behind on reading myself, but this is SO me this time of year! I'm so excited for some much needed rest next week. Enjoy it, beautiful lady! You deserve it

Hey Lovey! You're commenting! You just made me happier than...well, me with a Chestnut Praline Latte. (Yes, now you know what to order for me if we ever go to Starbucks - lol)
