Back to Work {Three Things Thursday #5}

New year. New me. New you. New goals. One major goal this year is to engage this wonderful blogging community better. What better way than to begin a new link up with some blog friends! Together, the three of us came up with Three Things Thursday.
 Just three things to talk or write about. Five seemed like too many and "one thing" was like we weren't even trying! So any three things that are on your mind. Any three pictures from Instagram. Three complaints about your day/week. Three of your favorite treats. Seriously. Any three things! So write it. Publish it. Yell it from the mountain tops!
Just be sure you come back and link it up here! For some extra fun follow us on Instagram for some three things posts!

Use the #threethingsthursday, and let's start talking!
Absolute Mommy

I went back to work on Monday...cue the tears!

1.  I definitely was not a tough cookie this time around.  I sat in an empty office on Monday, pumping for Annika's milk supply, and totally getting teary-eyed.  So much harder than I thought it was going to be.  With my two older kids, I was back to work after six weeks because we just couldn't afford for me to be out of work.  This time around, I used up every ounce of maternity leave and bonding time I could.  I miss my babies all day.  I have to remember, though...I do this all for them.

2.  So happy when I get home!  I can't get enough of the snuggles.  Miah and Lucas tell me all about their days at school and it feels like I never went back to work.  Annika gets this big smile when I walk through the door every night.  I guess it just makes the time we do spend together that much more special.  I'll get back into the groove of it all.  It may just take a little longer.  I'm okay with that.

3.  You know what, though?  I'm looking pretty damn cute going back to work.  Look at these two #ootd I've done so far this week.  I am loving getting dressed, putting make-up on, and doing my hair again.  It feels good to give myself that self-care I need.  If you were standing in front of me, I'd want a high-five!

  1. You are such an awesome mama! And hello.... insert whistle sound here... you are rocking the what I wore pics! Keep sharing! Love ya!
